Change Of Plans ...

Hey guys ... I was going to tell you about my hot BART ride, as I promised the other day, but today was a crummy day at work and I don't have the energy to go into tonight. But I will tell you all about it either in the next post or this weekend. Hope you all had a better day than I did! Why so crummy? Well, our dept. is broken up into teams, each supports a different application. Well, the application I am part of support on, is having major issues lately. The Developers have been made well aware of all of the issues but choose to do nothing about them. We get no updates or idea of where things are going and we also get no help in offering a resolution. So we give the users as much information as we have available to us but they keep coming back saying it is not enough. I have two users who submitted tickets, which are assigned to me, that are causing me major stress. One said that she is going to write every day until we resolve the issue. The other guy keeps submitting a response, even when I say nothing, and tells me how bad he thinks our "customer relations" are. I wish we could tell them how we REALLY feel! Our hands our tired but the users cannot seem to understand that. Ok ... I will stop now. Sorry for the venting. Have a good night!

If it makes you feel any better at all, I also support software products and go through the same sort of issues day after day. It can often be a thankless job, but you can only take it so far sometimes if you can't (or don't have the time to) find workarounds.
